Which show (white) breeches?
*nsideLeg2OutsideRein said: I ordered a pair of Cotton Naturals (full seat), but they don't fit me at all: Too wide in the waste and pretty tight in the leg, and I don't have overly big legs (5.7, 118 lbs, little bit hour-glass shaped). I LOVE my Pikeur Luganas for schooling, they fit me perfectly, but since I will only be doing 3-4 shows, I can't quite justify to myself spending over $200 for the breeches. What hopefully cheaper alternatives are there for my body type? Are the TuffRiders good? (Or someone convince me that I *need* the Pikeurs )

I got a pair of Ovation Microweave DX breeches for showing last year (http://www.victorycanter.com/Ovation-Microweave-DX-SuperStick-Full-Seat-p-21737.html) and I like them alot. The fabric feels surprisingly similar to the microfiber that Pikeur uses too. I HATE cotton breeches, so this was a nice surprise for me :) I was a little skeptic about the "super stick" full seat, as sometimes they are tooooo sticky or make squeeky noises, but I found that it rode about the same as a suede seat after I washed them once.

They normally sell for over $400. Great site for Pikeur at a reasonable rate and the shipping is not at all bad. Good luck and you really do need the Pikeurs. Your scores will go up by at least 5 points just because you look simply marvelous....besides, it will boost your confidence.

Too bad about these. Have you tried their "curvy" fit ones? They are cut a bit more generously in the leg and have a smaller waist,

G*llantGesture said: I have the ribbed Tuff Riders and they are fine comfort-wise but they are pretty see through. I got a pair of the Irideon Cadence breeches for my show breeches last year and I love them! I think the ribbed fabric is flattering, and they have enough give to be super comfortable without feeling like wearing spandex pants. The fabric is heavy enough that it's not see through (although black or hot pink might still show through, no promises, I didn't try!), but it's pretty breathable in the summer too. The full seat is fake suede, so they can be thrown in the washing machine without second thought. Mid priced (~$115)

They normally sell for around $240 which I would never pay for show breeches since I only show about 5-8 times per year. I found this pair at a local tack store - they were marked $179 plus I got an extra 25% off since they were having a sale. I have no idea why they were marked that low - they were brand-new with no obvious flaws. I sure as heck wasn't about to bring it to the attention of the sales clerk though!
